We apologise for the delay in the updates since August, last update was when I won the World Final. Its been a busy few months and the winning has continued. The World final recap – September at Kings Lynn, it was a good race, Frankie doing what he had to do on the first bend, thankfully it didn’t pay off for him. We had strengthened the car for exactly that reason which allowed me to ride the hit and cruise off into the lead, winning my second World Final, at Kings Lynn. Joining me on the podium, the same top 3 from 2013 with Ryan and Craig!!! Gold roof won and proudly wearing the number 1 on the wing (thanks Rob) . The next day at Northampton was tricky for us as we had to do an engine change in the pits after finding the engine had no oil pressure, but thanks to the team we still showed up and raced ending by winning the grand national.
The Shootout rounds were next, with the top 12 of us battling it out week in week out. There was some tough racing myself being the man to beat as my shale form was unstoppable targeted by a number of the drivers who were either trying to slow me down or wreck the car. Bring it on !!!! as I’ll just keep fixing it, fix it we did.
16 heat /GN wins 8 final wins 5 of which, were in a row and all on shale, The final wins were double of that of the next highest final winner, Nigel Green. Totaling 1109 points up to the last ever Stoke. A few mentions, winning the Grand National Championship, leading the 2020 WQR and multiple driver of the month awards. To add to The big ones – The British we won in June, The Golden Helmet in Emmen in July, My Semi final win in August, The World Final in September , after a hectic few races with people putting me in the fence here and there we scored the points we needed coming home third in the Grand National to take the Silver and the points. What a season. None of this can compare though to the news and the anticipation of welcoming our little princess, early next year and I cannot wait to be a Dad!!
To add more , Luke has won the Gold Cup in Venray and the Venray Track Championship meaning Gold and the silver points for him in Holland. What a year of success for Team Davidson!! Catherine has maintained red roof in V8’s too, she is racing the F1 at Birmingham at The Gala Night. Courtney Witts has raced well in Jamie’s other car winning 2 finals and numerous heats, making history in the sport.
Both Gold and Silver roofs from the same team and garage, UK and Dutch double winners!
Thank you to Jamie and Carron , Jaimee Lee and Luke for all their support, all my family, sponsors fans and the team we have on and off the track!! Heres to 2020 you all best be keeping an eye in your mirrors!!!
